Island Views Details

Arriving on the ferry.

This lampshade was inspired by my first visit to Whidbey Island.

I try to capture a moment of that visit in each panel:

The top panel represents my first ferry ride. I saw fishermen catching salmon during that ride.
The second panel is an impression of the Coupeville Wharf, and of course includes a heron.
In the third panel you can see the Ferry House with Ebey's Landing in the background.

The design on the lamp base represents the colors of ocean and grasses.
