Sunrise Lamp Details
Southern view of Coupeville harbor
Sunset from the top
The sun rising in Saratoga Passage near Coupeville, Washington, was the inspiration for this lamp and lampshade. Standing on the banks of Penn cove, you can see the oranges and reds play on the blue shades of the water.
This piece was made with many with glass of many shades of blue, violet, green, orange and yellow.
There was no glass enamel used on this lampshade. Instead, texture for light refraction was created by slumping the glass into molds especially made for this. The inside of the shade has been partially etched to diffuse the light.
